A deliciously rich and toasty Chardonnay, the 2016 Clone 45 is bright in colour with some floral aromas and flavours of quince, peaches and nectarines. It is broad in structure with an oaky finish. Clone 45 was produced from vines planted at Los Amigos Ranch propagated from a single clone. Clone 45 also known as clone 77, was originally imported to the US from Burgundy and registered in California in the 1980s. The wine was fermented at cool temperature in tank then aged for nine months in French oak barrels using 20% new and bottled on June 5, 2017.
