Bright in colour with a greenish hue, it has intense fresh white fruit aromas with apples and pears. It is medium bodied with a soft fleshy mid palate followed by a marked acidity with persistent sour lemon and lime finish. Tempranillo Blanco, a white mutation
of Tempranillo, was first discovered in 1988. Researchers spent a number of years evaluating and stabilizing the mutation before planting an experimental one-hectare plot, with the first wine produced in 2005.
