La Perle Rare Jones Syrah, Vin de France -C327, 2021

Open-barrel fermented then aged for two years in new French barriques. A black-purple, opaque pour. On the nose, there is a medium-plus intensity lifted range of dried orange blossom and red carnations, dried blood orange, game, wax, tar, cedar and bitter chocolate. The palate is dry, has a medium acidity, a high extract, high fine-textured tannins, a full body, a lovely length and well-enunciated flavours of dried carnation, dried blood orange, bitter chocolate, tar, wax, game and cedar.
