The Winetraders

La Zerba, a family estate, can be found in the Gavi appellation, tucked away in the hills of the Ligurian-Piedmont Apennines. Founders Ida Cozzio and Livio Lorenzi used family knowledge, in addition to the experience of local growers, to take exceptional care of their 12-acre plot. From the beginning, the results showed in the glass, with La Zerba Gavi being internationally recognized as one of the top wines in the region. Since 2015, the vines have been farmed organically. Hand- harvesting into special baskets and gentle pressing in the winery ensures the highest quality. The 2021 La Zerba Gavi Comune di Tassarolo is fermented at a cool temperature to retain the wine’s elegant orchard fruit and floral aromas. The palate is reminiscent of peach, melon, grapefruit and lemon. Maceration on the grape skins and stirring on lees adds texture and flavour to the palate.
