La Zerba Gavi DOCG Comune di Tassarolo BIO, 2023

From 20-year-old Cortese vines from south- and southwest-facing plots. It has a pale platinum yellow color, and medium-intensity yet subtle fruit on the nose: lees, slightly metallic/steely, chives, aloe, pasta dough, faintly floral with yellow plum at first, more so with air. Dry with medium-plus acidity and a soft texture, the palate shows medium extract and body, a lovely length and an attractive fruit intensity with floral/daisy notes, aloe, pasta dough, yellow plum and lemon with pith flavours appearing before a medium-plus finish. 2025-2028–IR
