L'Approche Mas d'Encha AOP Faugeres, 2019

The Faugères appellation is 100 kilometres north-east of Château Canet and is typified by its schist soils. Mas d’Encha is owned by a friend of Floris, Richard Dalichoux, who purchased five hectares on prime schist terroir at 300 metres in the year 2000. The vineyard is located on the foothills of the Cévennes Mountains facing south. His 2019 is intense in colour with mellow black olives, cherries and cream aromas. It is mouthfilling and succulent. A dense wine with a solid structure, fine-grained tannins, fresh plum fruits and chocolate flavours.
