Winemaker Marc Vappereau takes a sustainable approach to viticulture. The Cabernet Franc used to make the Les VII Arpents de la Chapelle aux Vignes is sourced from vineyards that are managed without the use of herbicides. A high-scoring wine with extra points for its concentration of flavour. Aromas of red currant, raspberry, violet and mint are mirrored on the palate, while a touch of spice lingers on the finish. 2023-2026–LW
Saumur Champigny, "Sur le Tuffeau", AOP Saumur-Champigny
A classic Cabernet Franc with a “red-green” profile. Look for the scent of cherry, strawberry, raspberry, cranberry and mint followed by flavours of raspberry, cranberry, rhubarb, parsley, nutmeg and clove. Maturation in oak (10% new) for eight months adds a trace of cinnamon and clove. Good structure from fine-grained powdery tannin. 2023-2025–LW
