Medium lemon hue. Much better than I imagined! This has a beautiful nose, with subtle oak notes of cream and vanilla, plus floral hints of honeysuckle and ripe stone fruit including peach and apricot. The winner in the 'gently oaked white' category is unquestionably this surprisingly complex blend of three unlikely bedfellows. The oak supports jasmine, honeysuckle, cream, yogurt, peach, red apple and melon, and the finish is genuinely long. A winner despite my initial misgivings. 2026-2028 – MP
