A sweet sparking red with intense floral and fruit flavours: it may not be to everyone’s taste, but I love it and am pretty sure it could be addictive. It is brimming with berry fruits, redcurrants and cherries with rose and a long fresh finish. The aromatic Brachetto Lungo del Roero grape is very different to the more widespread Brachetto d’Acqui and has only recently been recognized by the Italian authorities. A specialty to Roero – each bunch of grapes can reach 35-40 centimetres in length. Low in alcohol at around 6.5%.
