Floral notes, crushed redcurrants, Ribena and green leaf with a touch of leather are all displayed on the nose. This has a supple, smooth palate with more sour redcurrant flavours. It is medium-bodied with fine elegant tannins and ripe red fruits, finishing with lingering cherry menthol flavours on the finish. It was made from Garnacha and Cariñena grapes from 25- to 40-year-old vines on the Els Palells estate in the south of the Priorato appellation at Bellmunt del Priorat. The estate farms 13 hectares of vines organically.
