Mi Tractor Azul Tinta de Toro DO Toro, 2019

The “Blue Tractor” range are wines that are all about the grape variety and where it’s grown. The team are always on the lookout for very old vines that produce low yields of concentrated flavoursome grapes. No oak is used during winemaking, allowing the character of the fruit to shine. Toro, a small hot region in the northwest of Spain, confers a unique character on the Tempranillo grape, which is why it is known as “Tinta de Toro” in the region. Strawberries with cooked and dried fruits, raisins and dates combine with a touch of vanilla to produce a distinctive wine quite rustic in style with a chewy firm finish.
