Deep ruby hue. Youthful nose of black plum, red plum, tobacco leaf and liquorice. The big, firm tannins are still rather chewy but are nicely handled, and, along with the dense red fruit on the palate, suggest a long life ahead. Needs a bit of time in bottle before it hits its straps, but the potential is epic. 2028-2035 – NH
