Montblanc 362 Seleccio DO Catalunya, 2021

This wine aims to recreate that made by Catalonian Cistercian monks in the 14th century, a blend of 40% Merlot, 30% Grenache, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Carignan. It displays an opaque deep-purple ruby appearance and medium-plus intensity aromas of cedar, ripe bell pepper, char, toffee, prune and roasted tomato. It is dry on the palate and shows a medium-minus acidity, a medium extract, medium fine-textured tannins and a medium body. It has a lasting presence and fruit with cold char, brick, roasted bell pepper, tomato, cedar flavours and closes with a medium, warm finish. 2024-2026–IR
