An immensely tasty aromatic Muscadet with melon and pear aromas, lemon and passionfruit flavours. It is light and refreshing with an overall more fruity character than previous vintages. Domaine de la Bretonnière vineyards are situated south of Nantes close to the Atlantic coast. 23 hectares are planted on granite schist soils at high density with good drainage - very important given the high rainfall coming in from the Atlantic. Winemaker Bertrand Cormerais comes from generations of vine growers in the region dating back to 1890.
