Noi Vignaioli Piemontesi Barbera d'Asti Superiore DOCG, 2022

From the core of the historic production area, 30% of the wine was aged in small Allier barrels, with the rest spending some time in larger casks. The wine shows a very deep, opaque ruby robe, and medium-intensity aromas of woodsy/mastic notes, hickory, smoke, black plum, dried blueberries and black olive. The palate is dry, has a medium acidity, a medium extract, medium fine-textured tannins, a medium body, and attractive presence and persistence of dried blueberries, black plum, black olive, tar and smoke flavors, and a medium finish.
