Deep ruby hue. Complex and brooding with very ripe (yet not jammy) black fruit, including plum and blackcurrant accented with bay and eucalyptus. Oak adds coconut and baking spice. How this manages to find another gear, I do not know.
The previous wine is all one could ever want in Montepulciano and yet this pulls off a coup with its oak and concentration. 2026-2028–RB
