Grape Variety
Producer
A subtle white with fresh apple flavours and spicy earthy notes. Crisp with a lingering finish, this wine was produced from a majority of Catarratto grapes with some Inzolia and Grecanico, all grown in selected vineyards around Trapani. Located at the western tip of Sicily, and offering views as far as the Aegadian Islands, this is the region best known for white grapes, with each variety picked and vinified separately at their peak.
Rupe Secca Nero d'Avola DOC Sicilia The Wine People
Blackberry fruits and savoury musky notes combine in the bouquet, making this a firm wine with some chewy tannins and a grainy texture. Nero d’Avola is Sicily’s most planted black grape, its reliability based on its love of heat, which produces full bodied wines with some aging potential.
Cortese Nostru Nerello Mascalese IGP Terre Siciliane Organic Wine
Indigenous to the Etna region in Sicily, Nerello Mascalese takes its name from the small village of Mascali in the foothills of Mount Etna. The variety has become a rising star as the wines have proven themselves and developed in popularity in recent years. Nostru 2019 has mellow cooked cherries and summer pudding aromas with a hint of cedar. It is medium bodied with blackcurrant flavours and a firm acidity.
