A stunning red fortified wine, it is medium brick-ruby in colour with intense aromas of cherry menthol, chocolate and raspberry. It is sherry-like with delicious chocolate and liquorice flavours, great depth and a long nutty finish. Aleatico grapes cultivated in Cap Corse were picked by hand, de-stemmed, crushed and macerated. The fermentation was arrested by the addition of grape spirit producing a wine with 15% alcohol and residual sweetness. It was matured for up to ten years in old French oak barrels and is a blend of several vintages.
