Pearl Morissette Niagara Vineyards Primesautier VQA Four Mile Creek
Vibrant in colour, this wine exudes floral violets, blueberries, mulberries and peppery notes. The palate is marked by a prominent acidity, remaining supple with lots of sour berry fruit flavours. Produced from Lemberger grapes (known as Blaufränkisch in Austria, or Kekfrankos in Hungary). Grapes came from the Knizat vineyard in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Pearl Morissette Niagara Vineyards Fougue VQA Creek Shores
A smooth medium-bodied Chardonnay, it has a rich palate with flavours of passion fruit and mango and mellow aromas of lime and custard. Grapes, grown on the high-density Home Farm Vineyard in Creek Shores, were hand harvested in 2018 on September 18, 20, 21. After whole-bunch pressing, the juice was fermented in a combination of old foudres and concrete tanks. The wine remained in-tank on fine lees until it was bottled September, 9 2020, unfiltered and unfined.
Pearl Morissette Niagara Vineyards Ressac VQA Lincoln Lakeshore
Cabernet Franc is planted in the Lincoln Lakeshore VQA at the Redfoot vineyard with a dominant influence of Lake Ontario. Harvested in November, grapes fermented through to mid-December. The wine was matured in old oak demi-muids for 17 months then bottled on May 20, 2021. It is supple, light to medium-bodied with gamey flavours and a bitter fruit finish.
