Pertichetta, DOC Colli Tortonesi, Vino Rosso, Vigneti Massa, 2013

The Croatina variety is not commonly seen outside of its native home in northern Italy. The 2013 Vigneti Massa Pertichetta has a satisfyingly deep ruby/garnet hue and ample structure from fine firm tannins and mouthwatering acidity. A mature bouquet of plum, blackcurrant, violet, cured meat and olive invites the first sip. On the palate, this wine remains youthful and vibrant with the capacity to further develop.
