A dense and structured wine, with dark fruit flavours that mingle with treacle and raisins and just a hint of leather. Produced from a blend of 90% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 5% Cabernet Franc, these grapes were picked by hand and underwent a cold maceration prior to fermentation. This wine is powerful and firm with a grainy texture and should evolve nicely in bottle. It was matured from 12 months in French oak barrels, with 40% new.
