Made from younger Timorasso vines than Massa’s Derthona,the 2021 Piccolo Derthona is gold in colour with delicate aromas of red apple, mineral and honey. This wine’s satisfying texture and mid-palate weight have been achieved without barrel aging, through maturation of five months on lees. The palate is fresh and lively with flavours of red apple, white grapefruit and yellow plum which trail into a long and honeyed finish. –lw
