The Réccua is a 20-year-old tawny port meaning that the wine is aged for an average length of 20 years in elongated oak casks called pipes. Over time, this oxidative process transforms primary fruity, floral aromas into nutty, dried fruit savoury notes. Acidity softens and tannins become more mellow.
