Sangiovese is, without a doubt, Tuscany’s most iconic variety, and in this pair of wines it shows why it’s such a popular – and versatile – grape. The Roggiano, in which Sangiovese is blended with a small amount of Alicante to deepen the colour and give the wine some raspy grip, is the simpler and brighter wine of the two, showing Sangiovese’s floral vibrancy to perfection. The Sicomoro, made from 100% Sangiovese, is altogether sterner and more serious, a wine to cellar or to decant and serve with rich winter stews and game.

Medium garnet hue. A truly elegant, layered, complex wine that melds slightly sharp red plums and cherries with earthiness, leather and smoked bacon. Long and resonant on the finish, with silky, integrated tannins. Pair with game or red meats for an additional wow factor. 2026-2031–NH

SICOMORO RISERVA, MORELLINO DI SCANSANO DOCG, 2022

Medium garnet hue with some developed notes showing aromas of both cooked strawberries and cinnamon. The relatively
rich palate has well integrated oak notes supported by ripe and dense fruitiness, ensuring the wine will age beautifully for
