The Roggiano Riserva cuvée is sourced from mature, 25-year-old vines in a slightly higher-altitude vineyard of the Morellino di Scansano appellation. This is an oak-aged offering from Vignaioli Morellino di Scansano, matured for one year in French barrels and another year in bottle before release. Ripe dark fruit mingles with oaked aromas of cedar and espresso on the nose. The palate is tangy and moderately firm with robust tannins. Drinking well now, though will show even better in a year to two – when the oak has had time to integrate further. 2024-2034 – JB
