The Vermentino is cultivated in the northeast of Sardinia in the region of Gallura, a region of wide gentle hills with this vineyard planted 10 years ago. A wine with lots of fruity aromas, melons and pears. It is dry with a refreshingly crisp acidity and nice white fruit flavours.
Saraja Inkibi Cannonau di Sardegna DOC
Sa Raja Cannonau vineyards are in the northwest of the island in Romagnia, which means “place of gold” in local Sardinian language. The 2020 has ripe jammy fruit aromas with cooked raspberries and sponge cake. It is smooth with dark fruit flavours and is rich and medium-full bodied with a supple finish and fresh acidity. Cannonau is the local name for Garnacha, which was probably introduced to the island under Spanish rule. This wine compares in style to a Priorato. Members who enjoy Château Canet’s La Chapelle should also enjoy this wine.
