Not sure if any Lagrein is worth this much but it is a super-impressive nose with clearly delineated fruit characteristics showing black cherry, black plum, black berry, cassis, clove, cinnamon and liquorice. On the palate this is a stump-pulling Lagrein with epic quantities of fruit, alcohol, oak and tannins. How this can be quite so powerful and yet hail from the decidedly menthol Alto Adige is beyond me! 2026-2032-MP
