Susumaniello is a very rare red grape variety grown almost exclusively in Salento. It is generally used in blends bringing deep colour and pleasing plum flavours. The Somiero 2020 is full bodied and earthy, with sinewy tannins that give a taut, chiselled quality to the palate. Finishes with off-dry flavours of dried red and dark fruit.
