Cabernet Franc is growing in popularity in vineyards across the Tuscan coast. The 2019 Velathri cuvée is a fine example of how exciting the grape can be here. Enticing notes of red and dark fruits mingle with floral nuances and cedar on the nose. The palate is fresh and full bodied, with a concentrated core of cocoa, plum, and graphite. Overall, quite a polished wine with fine-grained tannins and well-integrated cedar, and spice from one-year ageing in French oak barrels. 2025-2035 – JB
