While labelled Merlot, this is actually a blend of four grape varieties — 85% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petite Sirah. Grapes were sourced from selected vineyards in northern California, gently crushed and fermented in rotary fermenters. It was matured for two months with French oak, is quite pale in colour, light on the palate and very drinkable.
