The initial nose is unmistakably Syrah – crushed black pepper, ripe blackberry, blueberry, but this also has expressive touches of mineral oil, kirsch, and wet stone. An intricately-assembled palate offers another round of rich black fruit plus peppery notes bound by fine, supportive tannins.
