My favourite in this lineup – it is mellow and tasty. Aromas of toast and vanilla complement ripe blackcurrant and mulberries. On the palate more pâtisserie flavours emerge. This is an exceedingly smooth wine, with plump fruits, bitter cherries and other dark fruits. The very best Cabernet Sauvignon grapes go into the Tête de Cuvée with the selection being refined each year. Parcels of old clearings of scrubland, typical of the region on the best limestone soils, are left as late as possible before harvesting to produce a rich concentrated wine.
