The 2020 IXIA by Aristea Chardonnay was carefully crafted from hand-harvested fruit in this exceptional vintage. In the cellar, ten months in barrel with regular lees-stirring has resulted in a wine with generous textural depth. The bouquet is filled with the scent of apple, toast and vanilla. The body is equally opulent with baked apple, pineapple, citrus, butter and oak character. Enjoy over the next three years. 2023-2026 – LW
IXIA by Aristea Pinot Noir, Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge
A graceful wine that presents a delightful harmony of fruity and savoury tones along with a generous depth of flavour. The nose recalls aromas of grilled plum, strawberry, cherry, flowers and earth. A sip reveals similar flavours framed by a light tannic grip. 2023-2028 – LW
IXIA by Aristea Cabernet Sauvignon, Stellenbosch
The entire IXIA by Aristea range delivers great value for money. I'm planning on stocking up my own cellar with a few cases. This full-bodied wine is perfumed with scents of plum, black raspberry, cinnamon and brown sugar. The taste is reminiscent of ripe blackberry, blackcurrant and plum offset by a kiss of spearmint and caramel. Fewer than 14 barrels produced. 2023-2027 – LW
