A single cru from the village of Nieve. This has a deep ruby core with a garnet rim. The nose offers medium-intensity aromas of red cherry reduction, tar, tea, rose and black raspberry with stalk – quite an attractive set. The palate is dry with a medium build: acidity, extract, fine-textured tannins and body, complemented by a lovely length and a persistent intensity of black cherry reduction and compote, cherry pit, fleshy red plum, tar and black raspberry with stalk flavours; in other words, a really fleshy fruit all the way through along with a medium-plus finish. 2025-2030–IR
