Vigna Benefizio has more weight and depth, while quite primary in style. It has fruity aromas of blueberries and fresh blackcurrant flavours leading to bitter cherries on the finish. It is medium bodied with a grainy texture and nice concentration. This wine was produced from 100% Sangiovese planted 15 years ago on sandy silty soils at 150 metres. It was matured for six months in one- and two-year-old French oak barrels.
