The Vigna Benefizio cuvée hails from a low-lying vineyard of sand and silt soils within the Morellino di Scansano appellation. This 100% Sangiovese red wine has quite an attractive nose, with floral and peppery notes giving way to ripe, blackberry aromas upon aeration. The palate is crisp, medium bodied and initially silky with firm, chalky tannins developing on the finish. Ripe, dark fruit flavours mingle with delicate oaked nuances of vanilla and baking spice. Should hold well over the next five years. 2024-2029 – JB
