You & Me Albarino DO Rias Baixas Vionta, 2021

Rías Baixas is Galicia's most coastal region and has a longstanding reputation for high-quality dry white wines made from the Albariño grape that perfectly match all manner of seafood. A thick-skinned variety, it resists the fungal disease pressure inherent in such a damp climate. Bodegas Vionta in Rías Baixas is in the Val do Salnés subregion; with 11 hectares of vineyard, the winery also buys grapes from small growers in the surrounding vicinity. Albariño grapes were handpicked, macerated for six hours then gently pressed. The free-run juice was fermented at low temperatures, producing a crisp white with fresh apples and other seeded fruits.
