The Gold Rush in the Sierra foothills in the 1850s brought a huge influx of people to California, along with prosperity and burgeoning businesses including over one hundred wineries. The region still possesses some of the oldest vines in the State grown at high altitude on sandy clay loam soils. 2017 Zinfandelic has aromas of fresh plums, violets with candy floss and dried raisins in the background. It is light to medium bodied with a slightly drying austerity on the finish. Produced from organically farmed old vines, the cool psychedelic label was inspired by rock posters from the 1960s.
