An intense aroma with spicy Riesling character with honey, petrol, smoke and fresh limes. It is smooth and round with a long, elegant finish. Spielberg is a single vineyard which was planted in by Alex’s father in the 1970s. Vines are cultivated on limestone soils with a thin layer of red sandstone. Grapes were picked by hand and underwent a six-hour maceration prior to pressing and fermentation with wild yeast.
