Bodega San Martin de Unx

Bodega San Martín was founded in 1914 by local growers. It is located in the town of San Martín de Unx high in the mountains to the south of Pamplona. Garnacha has been cultivated here for centuries and is key to the wines produced by the bodega. This is a unique setting a unique mountain setting covered in a scrub ecosystem of brushland vegetation (eg thyme, rosemary and juniper) and the team respects this special environment to the utmost, producing wines with their own unique identity and characteristics that reflect the vines’ surroundings. The vines are not irrigated, yields are low, but the quality of the grapes is very high, resulting in intensely flavoured and complex wines which faithfully reflect the nature of the terroir.
