A grape not often seen as a varietal bottling, made in unoaked style. A deep ruby, opaque color. It opens with medium-intensity aromas of red plum and tart cherry and pit, crushed almonds and coffee cake. The dry palate follows with a medium acidity, a medium extract, medium-minus fine-textured tannins, a medium body and a nice presence and intensity of red plum, coffee cake, black cherry and pit and tarry notes on a straightforward but nicely juicy palate.
