Time was that Bordeaux Blanc was sacrificed on the altar of fashion, which seems more than a little unfair with examples like this available. Fermented and aged on the lees for 6 months in largely second and third fill Burgundy barrels, the 70% Sauvignon in the blend opens with bold aromas of passion fruit, nectarine, ripe quince, and green apple. Sémillon delivers a delightful textural element together with signature notes of almond, hazelnut, and ginger. Gorgeous stuff. 2025-2027–MP
