Sourced from 40-year-old vines, the wine had 15-18 months of new oak ageing. It is a black-purple, opaque pour. On the nose there are medium-intensity aromas of toffee, cream, brandied prune, tar/smoke and lilacs with an overall polished and classy impression. Dry, the palate offers a medium acidity, a medium extract, medium-plus fine supple-textured tannins, a medium body and nice presence and persistence of toffee, creamy, brandied prune, tar/smoke, speck/bacon, black olive and floral flavours appearing before a medium-plus finish. 2025-2035–IR
