The “Pur Jus” cuvée from Château Carbonneau definitely lives up to its name. This is a fresh, juicy, unoaked Merlot-led blend. Tangy dark fruit flavours are lifted by aromatic herbal notes and underscored by savoury hints. Quite a full-bodied, taut offering at present with grippy tannins.
