Cerasuolo di Vittoria, located in southeastern Sicily, is the island’s only Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita (DOCG): the highest quality designation for an Italian vineyard area. The warm, sunny climate, moderating sea breezes and the fine clay-limestone soils here combine to produce vivid Nero d’Avola and Frappato blends. This 2022 cuvée is amply proportioned and lifted by very juicy, tangy plum and berry fruit. Overall, a finely structured, persistent and very harmonious red. 2025-2032–JB
