An elegant wine which is soft and easy to drink yet has great depth. Cola, vanilla and mellow spicy aromas dominate red cherry fruit with similar flavour on the palate. It is supple, relatively light yet smooth with a lingering cherry menthol finish. Produced from the oldest vines on the estate planted over 70 years ago, the cuvée is named after the 12th century chapel, the remnants of which sit amongst the vines.
Château Canet Les Evangiles AOP Minervois Cuvee Syrah
Coconut, vanilla and hazelnut characters combine in a mellow bouquet leading to a rich concentrated palate. Savoury, meaty flavours combined with dark fruits and cedar make this immediately appealing. It also has the potential for cellaring. Bitter cherry, black liquorice and oak persist in the mouth.
