Vigna Benefizio Morellino di Scansano DOCG, 2023

A single vineyard, finished with a six-month stay in 2nd- and 3rd-fill barriques. It has an opaque, deep ruby robe and medium-intensity nose with new leather, raw chocolate, grilled tomato, red currant reduction, walnut essence and marigold elements. It is dry with a medium acidity, a medium-plus extract, medium fine-textured tannins, a medium-plus body that feels quite plump, and a lovely length and fruit with flavours of walnut, raw chocolate, grilled tomato and black plum, red currant reduction and marigold leading to medium-plus finish with a touch of endive bitterness. 2025-2027–IR
