After 12 years in the wine industry, Mauricio Lorca founded Bodegas y Viñedos Mauricio Lorca in Vista Flores in the Uco Valley. An innovative vineyard with 6,850 plants per hectare, it is designed to produce grapes that will create wines full of character and personality. The vineyards yield low numbers, creating wines with greater varietal expression - higher concentration of aromas and colour, and soft tannins. Lorca believes that the true fruit and terroir of a wine should be allowed to shine through; with this in mind, Mauricio crafts his wines using the perfect combination of aging and oak.Mauricio Lorca established his winery in Luján de Cuyo, 25 kilometres south of Mendoza City close to the Mendoza river in 2002, having worked for various big names in Argentina.
