Pale brick red with orange rim. Makes quite an entrance. There are sweet red fruit and vanilla notes that meld confidently with drier flavours of rosemary, cured meats and sour cherry on the palate; the finish is already eternal. For a Barolo, this has enough flex to drink now, although the firm, fine tannins provide the required structure for improvement.
