Medium purple hue. Temperatures soared in 2022, although those who managed to beat the heat came up with some very good wines. The Ducourt family have been the proprietors here since 1858 and know a thing or two about site selection. This is ripe, supple Merlot at its best, with 25% Cabernet providing the backbone for ageing. Dark fruits, spicy notes, and warming alcohol on the finish that adds length. 2027-2030 – MP
